Made to Order
Every Efemera piece is handcrafted to order in New York City. Production begins upon order confirmation and payment.
- Standard Production: 4–8 weeks from order confirmation
- Peak Season (Nov–Feb, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day): 8–12 weeks. We'll communicate any anticipated delays at checkout and via email.
- Custom Orders: May require additional time. We'll notify you.
Production timelines are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
Production Updates
- Order confirmation within 24 hours
- Email when your piece enters active production
- Shipping notification with tracking when your order ships
- For orders exceeding 6 weeks, at least one interim update
Domestic Shipping (US)
- Standard Insured (USPS Priority / UPS): 3–7 business days — Complimentary on all orders
- Expedited (UPS 2-Day): 2 business days — $25
- Overnight (UPS Next Day): 1 business day — $45
Transit times are from date of shipment, not order placement.
International Shipping
- Canada: 5–10 business days — $35
- Europe: 7–14 business days — $45
- Asia Pacific: 10–21 business days — $55
- Rest of World: 10–28 business days — $55
Shipping Insurance
All orders ship with full insurance at no additional cost. Insurance covers loss, theft, and damage during transit.
Signature Required
All orders require an adult signature upon delivery. This is a non-negotiable security measure for high-value jewelry.
International Customs, Duties & Taxes
International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees. These are the sole responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the price or shipping cost. We are legally required to declare the full value on customs forms — we cannot mark packages as "gifts" or undervalue.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
Damaged: Photograph the damage immediately. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Retain all packaging.
Lost: Contact us if tracking shows no updates for 7+ business days (domestic) or 21+ days (international). We'll file an insurance claim.
Stolen (confirmed delivered): Check with neighbors/building management. File a police report. Contact us with the report number. We cannot guarantee replacement for packages confirmed delivered by the carrier.
Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. Packages returned due to incorrect addresses will require reshipping at your cost.
